Life Interfers with my Internet Time

I apologize I had not put up the Friday or Saturday posts last week.  Life sometimes has a way of interfering with things.

Last week, my Mother in Law had a mini-stroke.  We are dealing with the ramifications now.  Then, over the weekend, my brother-in-law decided he could no longer live with his SO because of personal issues, and is moving back home.  Oh, did I mention he has no job and no vehicle right now?

So, yeah, a bit chaotic.  But things should be getting back onto an even keel soon.  I hope.  🙂

  1. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to your mother in law. I know how scary coping with the fallout of a stroke (even a minor one) can be,

And while you’re taking care of everyone else, don’t forget to take a bit of time here and there to take care of you. We’ll still be here if you need to take a few days off. We’ll miss you, but we’ll be here.

  2. TIA’s are scary, my husband had something with similar symptoms about a year ago, though it ended up not being a stroke after all. I did learn a bit about them when we thought that’s what it was. First, if you have a TIA, you’re at greater risk for a stroke for about a year or so. And second, the window for clot-busting drugs is 4.5 hours not 3; not all doctors may know this, so if you do and your Mom has another more serious episode you can be informed.

Best of luck to her, perhaps your brother can keep an eye on her while he has no job? He should bone up on the symptoms to worry about just in case.

  3. Wishing a speedy recovery for your MIL and happiness to your brother in law.
